Can I configure phpwcms to not expire admin sessions?
Hi, I have this awful problem again and again. After some time of inactivity (e.g. for a phone call), the admin (backend) session has expired, then I click Update (e.g. in some article or newsletter edit) and NOT ONLY I FIND MYSELF LOGGED OUT, BUT, WHAT'S WORSE, I HAVE LOST ALL MY CHANGES UNTIL THEN...

Re: Shop module language and product language
About Magento: I see a problem in that it supports only PHP 5.2.0 or newer... Currently not many shared hosting providers offer PHP > 5. Otherwise, I believe it could run on a shared host successfully...

Re: Shop module language and product language
I am thinking about using an independent site for each language... This means that there will be 20 independent sites, like en.mysite.com, el.mysite.com, de.mysite.com etc. This means that we will need 20 databases and 20 file structures on the server. However, this is a clean solution which allows ...

Shop module language and product language
About shop/products module (in v1.3.5): Is there a way to have product listing in different languages and display each listing depending on the language selected by the user? For example, I have 100 products and I want to display them in 20 different languages, but I only want to display the 100 pro...

Re: Bad Behavior blocking forms even if it is disabled??
OK I found in include/inc_act/act_formmailer.php the following line and commented it out.
It works fine now. Thanks.
Code: Select all
require_once (PHPWCMS_ROOT.'/include/inc_module/mod_bad-behavior/bad-behavior-phpwcms.php');

Bad Behavior blocking forms even if it is disabled??
Hi I am using v1.3.3 (upgraded earlier from 1.1RC4). I remember that in the past I had installed (don't remember when and how) bad behavior (I think at the time it was a hack rather than a component in phpwcms) but I had removed it because it was not blocking spam. Later I used the incorporated solm...

Loneliness ?
As some users have pointed out (see for example: http://forum.phpwcms.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16336&p=96891&hilit=alone#p96891), the current situation where there appears to be a rather reduced interest in the phpwcms forums (few lonely users online) might imply that phpwcms needs much m...

Actually, I think this post is misplaced. It should be moved to "Hacks & Enhancements" or in "phpwcms Support English". Maybe someone with authority can move it.

Searching in a Greek Multiaccent (Polytonic) site (UTF-8)
I am posting this to help other users who may be having problems with searches using greek characters in unicode (UTF8 or UTF-8) sites. I had posted in the past (http://forum.phpwcms.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10582) how to hack the search system to enable searches in greek language. This hack, how...

OK, I found favicon.ico on the root of the server. I guess it wasn't put there by phpwcms, because phpwcms is put in another directory (not the root) and I can't think how phpwcms may have put this icon on the server (unless it was done by the setup script). I had to delete all caches to update thin...

How to display site logo on browser bar - not phpwcms logo?
I see that in phpwcms-based sites, browsers detect phpwcms logo and display it on the (left-most side of the) browser address bar. This tiny logo is also included in the bookmarks, if the site is bookmarked. How can I change this (automatically) browser-detected logo to use a different one? I think ...

Article approval by Editor/Administrator before it's visible
Is it currently feasible (as a standard feature or as a hack) to require article approval for articles created by particular backend users, by a nominated "Editor" or an Administrator, before the article(s) become visible on the site? Of course, some users could create articles (in a coope...
