What exactly do we copy if we have a brand new 1.2.8 phpwcms installation? the old phpwcms 1.2.6?

OK:
You have phpwcms 1.2.8 installed and running.

then

From the downloadarea on casa-loca.com download 2 zip-files:
exdata_mod_261for126.zip
and
exdata_mod_261for128.zip

then
read the install-readme in exdata_mod_261for128.zip

then
copy all files of exdata_mod_261for126.zip via ftp to your server

then
copy all files of exdata_mod_261for128.zip via ftp to your server(overwrites some files of exdata_mod_261for126)
don't forget the filebrowser_exd.php in the root directory

then
modify the files as described in install-readme

then go to backend an install the mod from the module-section


Why so complicated?
When you have/had phpwcms 1.2.6 with mod ExData 2.61 and now update to phpwcms 1.2.8 - then you just have to update ExData with the 261for128-file - so you don't have to care about created css files and templates. Clear?

I'm using the latest release of Exdata on phpwcms 1.2.8.

When I try to add a picure to my listings, my websites startpage opens instead of picturebrowser. So I'm not able to add a picture right now. Does anybody know this mistake? What did I wrong?

did you install the exdata_mod_261for128 file?
get the zip and extract it to your installation.
NOTE: there is a file called filebrowser_exd.php you must copy to your root directory.
Then it works!

zunächst mal ein ganz großes lob für dieses tolle erweiterung!!

..aber...

ich versuche seit 3 tagen mit dem exdata mod (aktuelle version) eine ansicht zu generieren.
ich möchte für einen umfangereichen artikelbestand eine seite, auf dem der kunde eine übersicht (liste) zu sehen bekommt.
diese soll er dann nach standort sortieren lassen und mit der filterfunktion nach bestimmten eigenschaften (name, wareneingang, bezeichnung) sortieren lassen.

ich schaffe es zwar eine übersicht zu erzeugen mit genau den eigenschaften aber es werden immer gleich alle feldeinträge angezeigt. ich möchte aber erst die liste und dann per klick den artikel aus der liste aufrufen und die restlichen felder (in diesem fall die weiteren informationen) erhalten.
dies vor allem auch damit der betrachter auch einen artikel alleine ausdrucken kann.

vielleicht hat einer von euch ja schon mehr erfahrung. freue mich über jegliche hilfe da ich hier grad verzweifle!

Das ist so im Moment nicht möglich.
Diese Funktion (Übersicht - Detailansicht) ist erst für die e-commerce-Erweiterung vorgesehen.
Aber schick mir mal nen Link. Wir könnten vielleicht was an Deinem Script rumfummeln, damit das bei Dir funkt.
Aber frühestens nächstes Weekend! und PM!

huuupppsss... nachdem ich grad alle patche bis "g" eingespielt habe wird exdata zwar im backend, aber nicht mehr im frontent dargestellt. da steht jetzt nur noch das "RT". hmmmm....habe die einstellungen aus der alten anpassung übernommen.

ja, was mach ich nicht alles für ....!
Aber vorerst nur an Deinen Content angepasst, also Felder in Listing und Detailansicht fix.
Wie gesagt, ich brauch nen Link um mir das genauer anzuschauen.

PM wäre wohl besser.
Wir können hier ja dann das Endergebnis wieder posten.

I installed ExData and get the menu item in the admin section / modules but if I click on it nothing happens? (link says: http://www.xxx.xx/phpwcms.php?do=modules&p=91)

go through the installation instructions again
you most likely missed some parts there
